The Learning to Teach with Technology Studio (opens in new window) project is funded, in part, by a grant from the Department of Education's Funding for Improvement in Post Secondary Education's Learning Anytime, Anywhere Program and is aimed at creating a Web-based professional development system that helps teachers learn how to integrate technology into their classroom teaching using a problem-centered instructional format that encourage teachers to develop inquiry-based instruction for their classrooms. (Developed four courses and managed the development of approximately a dozen others, 2003-04).
The Alternative Literacy Training for the Enhancement of Re-instruction (ALTER) project was aimed at creating an interactive web-based PD program for 7-12 teachers which focuses on the creation and implementation of on-line micro-workshops in the area of literacy assessment and re-instruction (Developed project website, 2000-2004).
The Virtual Instructional Training for the Advancement of Literacy (VITAL) [opens in new window] project is funded by a grant from the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers' Association Centennial Project Award and is aimed at creating an interactive web-based PD program for K-3 teachers which focuses on the creation and implementation of on-line micro-workshops in the area of literacy assessment and reinstruction. (Assisted in the redesign of project website, 2002-2004)
